Mental Health Services

What is mental health?

Mental health is about a person's emotional, psychological and social wellbeing.  Mental health is a basic human right and is important throughout our whole lives.  Mental health services are meant to support all people in their journey to living a life that is satisying and healthy.  The world we live in, and our experiences in life, can cause stress, fear, worry, and sadness.  This is a natural occurrence.  Mental health therapy offers a safe space to process these feelings and events while identifying tools to use to be able to improve daily functioning.

 Services we offer include:

  • Individual therapy sessions
  • Family therapy sessions
  • Couples therapy sessions
  • Diagnostic assessments

 Who we serve:

  • All client's ages 5 and up
  • Diagnoses such as, but not limited to, anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, anger, ADHD, and Autism spectrum disorders

What we do and how we do it:

  • Utilize family systems theory and cognitive behavioral theory through a person-centered and strength based perspective
  • Utilize play therapy and art therapy for kids and teens as needed
  • Utilize trauma informed interventions as needed
  • Grief and loss certified
  • Assess service necessity such as outpatient services versus inpatient or hospitalization
  • Crisis planning as needed
  • Parenting support/ behavioral interventions to use at home

As human beings, our mental health is just as important as our physical health.  Both areas affect our daily lives-in work, at home, and in the community.  Mental health services are for everyone not just for people who have been diagnosed with severe mental illness.  When it comes to physical health, we see doctors for big medical issues and smaller medical issues, to prevent them from becoming bigger issues and negatively affecting our lives.  Mental health services are the same! If you or a loved one is experiencing some struggles, please reach out to us at 763-682-7774.
